Leadership accomplished

When the OS3 system was introduced to the market in 2002, I called it the culmination of all experience and expertise gained in years of focussing on designing and manufacturing phaco and vitreoretinal equipment. It was named OS3 for Ophthalmic Small incision Surgery System and designed to be the leading machine on the market.

Six years later, the OS3 is as young as ever. And it is unquestionably the leading combination system. While competing products, many of them introduced at later dates, keep on modifying I/A systems, cassettes, software etc, the OS3 can meet all the challenges of latest surgical developments with its original concept and components. The TwinVac® double pump system still sets the standard for venturi and peristaltic aspiration and our Direct Access® operation concept has proven to be the epitome of ease of use.

If one thing needs rethinking, it’s the name giving of the OS3: small incision surgery will definitely make room to Micro Incision Surgery. And I can proudly announce that the OS3 is now the leading MIS system on the market. It does coaxial MICS through 1.6mm as easy, fast and more elegant than you are used to with 2.8mm incisions. It offers performance features for 23G vitreoretinal interventions which let erode the standards set by 20G technologies in the past. And above all, the OS3 is a use proven system, the only use proven combined micro incision surgery system in the industry. We are proud to be performance leader.
