- The OS3 fluidics system with the TwinVac® cassette
and integrated pressure sensor
sets a new standard!
Not only does it provide the comfort to change between
a peristaltic and a venturi pump
throughout the procedure, it also keeps the anterior chamber
stable at all vacuum and flow
settings up to 600mmHg (CO-MICS). Unlike with other machines,
no small lumen tubing is used
so that the aspiration vacuum can deploy its full dynamics
at the tip! The result is better followability,
excellent holding force and improved aspiration of even dense
material. This, in combination with smooth control of
phaco power delivery, opens the path to phaco aspiration and
coaxial MICS
(<1.6mm) phaco.
The OS3 fluidics also profit from latest advancements in pump
design. Pulsation generated by
peristaltic reels is completely eliminated. This gives very
smooth liquid flow at low settings as
preferred for vitreoretinal procedures. On the venturi pump,
vacuum increase and decrease are both
controlled with very small increments so that the venturi
pump provides smoothness of control
normally experienced with peristaltic pums only.
- True venturi and true peristaltic double pump system
The dual function cassette supports both pumps
- You can switch between the venturi and the peristaltic
pump at any time during surgery!
Can be switched from pedal, remote control or panel
- True flow and true vacuum control, not just a simulation
Now you have the optimum control method available for
every single step of surgery
- Air free fluidics system guarantees perfect control
The absence of air in the aspiration path has multiple
advantages: immediate response to pressure changes, instant
build up of suction power and stable anterior chamber
- No surges, even at high vacuum
The 2nd generation AC Guard® eliminates vacuum surges
completely even at highest levels of vacuum
- No contaminations from pressure sensor
Pressure is sensed without contacting the aspiration liquid.
This eliminates any risk of contaminations from the sensor,
irrespective of cassette type.
- Gravity fed or active infusion
You can use the air output of the OS3 Vitrex to pressurize
the infusion bottle or you can rely on simple
but effective gravity infusion.
- IOP control from the pedal
Either way you go, infusion pressure is always controlled
from the pedal.
Lift or lower the bottle with the new fast speed pole or adjust
air pressure with an accuracy of 1 mbar
in the active infusion mode.
Three memories for IOP values are available to vitrectomy
specialists.
